It won't be long and the city will be getting construction bids for renovation of the Palm Harbor Golf Course. A long awaited process that local golfers and Palm Coast Florida residents have been waiting for. Even though we have all been waiting it will be sometime around September 2009 before we will be able to play on the course.
When real estate developer Centex Destination Properties closed the Palm Harbor Golf Course, they tore down the clubhouse as part of a larger project. They had big plans to develop a new resort in Palm Coast, Florida in Flagler County -- which at the time, sounded wonderful with condos, resturants and marina .... and also planned a Jack Nicklaus redesign of the course. As Centex ran into trouble and the work on the resort stopped, the course was left unplayable and in a state of neglect and has been that way for a long time now.
A deal was eventually worked out between Centex and the City of Palm Coast the course was "donated" to be used as a municipal facility. The city received title, local golfers were happy again but they have been waiting to seem some kind of progress towards the rebuilding of the course.. It is finnally coming and soon as we drive down Club House Drive we will see things changing and returning to a green and beautiful course.

For nine years now I have been helping people relocate to the Palm Coast - Flagler County Florida area and love every minute of helping with the move....
Now it was my turn to move from one location in Flagler County to another and .... getting rid of all that stuff the we accumulate .... why do we do this .. and what to do with those baby clothes that were my daughters I have been saving in a tote for her to use for her children .... well .. you know that really is not going to happen but for some reason .. we just can't seem to let go of things like that ... OK ... take a big breath .... and realize that it is just time to LET GO ... no one has used knitted sweaters, matching hats, and blankets for how long ... certainly not here in Florida. Then there are all those Nick knacks, photos, computer software, computer cords that go to which computer which CPU, which what -- and what the heck is this?????
Is everyone the same -- I am thinking ... or is it just us ... certainly other people don't have this much stuff .... when they are relocating here and I visit them the day after their move day why do they look all tidy and put away ............ are they hiding their stuff better than me?
And then... there is my husbands stuff, my grandkids stuff, some of my brothers stuff ... seems we have everyone stuff .... HELP ......
Well.... here we all finally all packed ... and moved .... love our new place .... and NOW ....where in the world have all these boxes come from, I unpack a few and I know, somehow, there are more now then when I started ...I get one unpacked and three more appear ......
It is finally coming together ... I really have a much better appreciation for those of you who look so moved in and set up when I visit .... just tell me your secret.... Where Did You Hide All Your Stuff?????
It was rumored, that Palm Coast was to get a Carrabba’s Italian Grill located at the Fairfield Inn which is under construction on
Old Kings Road just south of
Palm Coast Pkwy. Since that deal seems to have hit a road block, it seems we may be getting a Bonefish Grill. It is said that Bonefish is seriously looking at a location within the Palm Harbor Shopping Plaza on
Palm Coast Pkwy. I personally haven't eaten at a Bonefish, I love Carrabba's .. but know that the companies other restaurants are good ... just happy that Palm Coast in getting more restaurants and this one will be a great addition!!
